eat in kitchens {pt 3}

I have posted about my uncertainty regarding eat-in kitchens before (here and here). And I just wanted to add these lovely examples to my list of the reasons to love them. They almost make me want to city dweller!

As always, I would love to know your thoughts!?

I have an eat-in kitchen. I have mixed reviews-it's nice that you are right there by all the food/cleanup but I would love a dining room for a cozy dinner party feeling. Someday I hope to have a bigger house with a dining room, but until then my eat-in will do.

Great examples of eat-in kitchens. I love it, people gather in the kitchen anyway, might as well have a nice space for them to sit.
They always seem to be done so well - I just always think "A family that eats together..."

i'm really liking that first example...a lot! i think it might have something to do with that wonderful window seating.

Love the kitchen with the chandelier! Modern and a bit traditional...
These are the most glamorous eat-in kitchens ever.

The first one is so cute! But anything with a bench, and I'm sold. We have an eat-in kitchen, but honestly we usually eat in the living room. So terrible, I know.
I love the last image with the awesome huge many-paned window, the exposed brick, the wood surfaces and lots of white. (Not that I'm turning up my nose at that crystal chandelier.) I'm planning what I think of as a cook-in dining room for my new place. Glamorous and elegant like a dining room, but with fridge, sink, stove and worktops in the same room. Challenging, yes, but that's my solution to my problem of 1) hating kitchens and 2) hating underused dining rooms.

I dream to one day own a home that has a kitchen large enough that I can run a long table down the middle, sigh.
