A Classic Twist

Happy Independence Day! I hope that you are all having a fabulous holiday, staying cool and sporting your red, white and blue. I have to be honest that on most days of the year this patriotic color combination is not a favorite of mine for interiors. However, Katie Ridder's fresh take on this classic combination is warming me up to the palette.

I love the tile floors. I'm working on tiling my home office with a kind of "re-imagined industrial" flair. Looking into creating an effect similar to this one, here: http://www.smart-urban-stage.com/blog/future-of-the-city/new-ways-of-sanctuary/ Let's see if I get around to it - I've been spending all my time hunting for inspiration on interior design blogs!

Absolutely fabulous - they are all so lovely but the one with the red doors & the coloured glassware is a favourite!

I certainly will be looking at my drinks tray & thinking about how to improve it!
