I wonder if the owners of this modern agrarian inspired home would let me come stay for the weekend, or all of the weekends of the summer. This Cumberland Island Home (designed by the architect, Ken Pursley) has everything that makes a wonderful weekend retreat--it is comfortable, charming and playful. It is beautiful yet doesn't have one ounce of pretension -- surely this home is just waiting to have muddy feet running though it . And the use of rope for the banister and on the chandelier just sends me over the edge in delight - a perfect touch of character.

Love the look. It's so beachy, nautical. Thanks for sharing.

I love that idea of rope instead of a traditional railing on the staircase. It's relaxed, casual and perfect for a beach house!
Have a great weekend

I love that dining table.
The flowers add so much loveliness to that space.
Nice house.
I could stay here every day! Love the rope, tolix chairs, and fresh design.
