day dreaming {beautiful boudoir}

 It was a dreary cold weekend here, perfect for curling up with a good book and hot cup of tea. And as luck would have it I just stocked up on multiple books full of visual interior bliss. One of them was Pheobe Howard's new book The Joy of Decorating. In the book she talks about her bedroom as a young girl and how "it embraced her and allowed all her wounds to heal." It was in that room that she realized how powerful environments can be. It pushed me to think about my own bedroom and day dreaming about an entirely new color scheme. My plotting left me struggling between a cool, serene and calming indigo, ivory and sky palette...

or a more traditional yet energetic mix of bright grass green and shell ivory.

More of my ideas to come but of now, which palette do you prefer?

Ooo I love them both! You can't go wrong either way. I think I'm liking the green a tiny bit more, but it might just be because I'm on a floral kick.

I love Phoebe Howard,
her spaces are always fresh and inviting and she loves to use blues, greens, and turquoise and white which I love very much.

What color is the dark shade of blue? The blue theme is exactly what I've been looking for. Beautiful.
We were doing the same thing! I posted about my bedroom dilemma. Pinned, stalked, and scoured the net. It's a tough choice...big investment.

I'm torn between your 2 looks. Because I'm not as much of a floral print person, I'd probably go with the blue. Although, that soft minty green in the floral print is really elegant and could be a good accent in a house.

I definitely love the first palette better. It was tough for me to decide because i like both green and blue, but the first is simpler and i like the lines/patterns.

I love blue and white, they are so fresh, clean and chic together. Such a beautiful colour scheme
I like the blue for a bedroom because I like bedrooms to be soothing and peaceful and the blue does that for me. Both great palettes though!
