vintage + contemporary

I am always fascinated by the homes of interior designers--from the trends they embrace, the colors they use and the lines of furniture they choose. I love the classic federal feel of the home of journalist turned interior designer, Jeff Lincoln. He mixes art deco, vintage and ikea flawlessly!
The one budget idea that I am definitely going to use in my home is the thick gold branches in a vase--perhaps a good DIY for this weekend.

Any designer that can embrace ikea is good in my books!

I agree with your commentary. I could not even pick out the Ikea pieces so I would say that is a job well done. Ks

totally agree - I'm trying to pick out the IKEA peices. I know they sell those lamb skins there. Love how eclectic yet pulled together it looks. Oh, btw, totally off subject, but I'm having an ikat pillow giveaway on my blog tomorrow - stop on by!
Really beautiful home and I love the branches idea too!

too many mirrors for one room)))
I love the branches too. I have some painted silver (looks beautiful at Christmas or New Years) and gold branches with a bunch of other gold accents...very pretty and easy to do! Fun post -thanks!

Agree, it's a whole lot of gorgeousness and I love a designer that mixes styles and allows for both high-end and low-end pieces - it's so much more reflective of real life? My only critism would be that I find there's just too many chairs. Do you really need seating for 14 (including stools) in one room? ;)

Wow, there is Ikea here? I can't even tell. I love playing "find the IKEA". This home had me stumped for a while http://www.aliceindesignland.com/blog/inside-look-sarah-wandering.html

I think my favourite of these pieces are the blinds and the golden branches. So gorgeous, and would work all year round! Beautiful space.
