outdoor envy {wendi young}

Usually when I browse through a designers portfolio it is the interior spaces where I find inspiration. However Wendi Young's portfolio reminded me that the design of the outdoor space is just as important. I especially love the multiple outdoor spaces she designed for this Newport Beach home. They are all unique and allow the homeowners to host everything from an intimate evening of cocktails to a swanky soiree.

Beautiful. Yes, I think I would definitely spend the majority of my time at home in one of these spaces. I think I need a space like this because entertaining in the spring, summer and fall would be fabulous.

Gorgeous! The one problem with outdoor spaces as beautiful as these - wonderful weather all year round is a sort of pre-requisite to having one at your home. These are great to dream about and be inspired by!

These outdoors rooms are gorgeous! Wish I lived somewhere where this would work, but not in rainy Seattle!
I could see myself in any of those spaces wearing a summery dress and a hat, drinking some wine, and mingling with some good friends. Thanks for the quick diversion from this 30 degree weather in Georgia!

These make me want to take the rest of the week off and go rent a house in the desert. They always seem to dress up the patios so chic in the desert! LOVE TODAYS PICTURES. Thanks... leaves me to day dream of warm weather and relaxing on the patio! ;)

I am an East Coaster and I'm so glad I live in LA right now with all the crazy weather back East. I'm dying over that Morrocan inspired patio. These are great spaces. I have to say, we are fortunate in LA to because to really utilize the outdoors without the fear of rain or snow. It does allow for a lot more creative freedom. Thanks for the inspiration.
Can't wait for summer to get outside again! Could easily spend a day reading and sipping tea in any of those spaces.
