three mirrors are better than one

My jaw dropped when I saw this room. What first struck me was the incredible balance and scale. As with most great rooms, this room certainly has a a focal point--the triple mirrors. I love the sense of illusion they add. I am tempted to buy three inexpensive floor length mirrors and replicate this in my bedroom.

I've also been thinking of doing this in my bedroom.

They have very nice looking floor mirrors at target. A bit more expensive because the frame around the mirror is thicker than the $7 (thin framed ones). I think they were either $20 or $30 a piece.

The mirrors are a great idea. Thanks

I love all the pieces in this room too, the colors are so subtle but there's so much going on. The hand on the books and the mixture of chairs are cool!

I have always used mirrors to strategically open up space in my apartment, but I never thought to stack three like that! It makes a dramatic difference. If I ever replicate this idea, I'll be sure to post it on my blog and credit you with the inspiration! If you're interested, it's: www.pullingthemoff.com

Love it! I think the key is the three narrow, horizontal mirrors over the sofa. A classic portrait ion balance and design. Thanks for sharing....K

love, love, love these mirrors!
and if one pays extra attention to what's in the opposite wall, they could make very interesting art.
