sleek + sophisticated {home office}

It is on sunny and warm days like today that I wish I worked at home and could easily sneak out to my deck and lounge in my adirondack chair. However, my office would have to be spectacular enough to get me back inside. Perhaps a sophisticated one like this one with its high gloss black paint, unique moldings and adorable mirrored tables would do to trick!

LOVE the moldings! And the flooring is very interesting - the reverse approach to what's common.
oh i really LOVE this! Just everything about it. My little apartment is overflowing with books (my hubby never throws anything out so we have books that could pile up to the ceiling, lol).

This is a great and stylish way to showcase them. :) Woohoo...saving this one to my inspiration for my future home.

Seriously want that office - so very beautiful. I have a lovely black desk but it's not quite the same!
Typically I'm a white bookshelf kinda girl, but I enjoy the drama of these black shelves!

I love the whole thing. Not too designery, perfect!
I totally want black or dark lacquered bookshelves for my office. Right now I have none and the place is begging for it. That and dark peacock blue walls......

I like the black sleek looking shelves...it's a BIG enough space to pull off dark colors!

I want this - duh. But perhaps I'll just have to paint something in my place with glossy black paint for some glam.

The moldings are AMAZING. We're building a house, soon and I'm going to keep them in mind. Thanks for the great idea!
Anything that showcases books is a great idea and this looks so sleek and modern! *crave*. If only my clat weren't roughly the same size as the room pictured..

its when my work area looks like it does right now that I crave spaces like this even more...

I love the dramatic elements that have been used to punch up this functional office space. The unique moldings paired with the black lacquered bookshelves really create a sense of timelessness and drama in the space. I also love the addition of a full seating area- how convenient!
