just for fun {teal + chartreuse}

You are probably thinking really, teal and chartreuse? Yes, really! I have to admit I had to study this space a few times before I was sold on it. I think that it works well here because there is so much going on to distract the eye from the daring color and is pulled together so well in the accessories, especially the area rug and beaded chandelier.

I could however do without some of the clutter!

Love this room! Would have never thought to put those colors together, but the room has so much to study. One could look and look again and still find interest.
I found your comment about the clutter funny, because I was totally thinking, 'Normally I wouldn't like so much STUFF, but I'm not sure it would work as well without it.' It's very full of life! In a good way!

I love these colors together! My couch is a chartreuse chesterfield sofa and I accented it with teal throw pillows. I get a lot of comments like "I would have never put these colors together but I like it".

Although I utilized those two colors together, my space isn't nearly this cluttered. It's almost claustrophobic looking in there! I think the trick to pulling off such bright colors together is keeping everything else very neutral.

I am a fool for clutter and daring colour combinations so this space is right up my street! Deliciously inspiring.

Such an awesome color palette. And how fun is this room, backed with books and art? Loving the pop of teal in the drop down desk...

Loving how large and wide these images are too, really let me look up close!
I never get tired of teal and chartreuse!!! That beaded chandelier is amazing!

i'm loving the chandelier!
How unique. Me too on the chandelier love. I just don't think that the wall colour would be very flattering to my complexion.

The teal beaded chandelier is breath taking.
What a cool room! That must be one of the hardest paint colors to pull off, but it looks amazing here! I love the wall that is covered in frames, and the wild bookshelf tucked away in the corner looks great, too.

I am absolutely smitten by this room - the colors, the furniture; even the "clutter"!!!

I love the combination but it isn't for everyone. I think a study nook like this one is perfect for a colour explosion. : )

Oh my gosh -- that chandelier is absolutely beautiful. And I love chartreuse. Maybe not quite as much as in these photos. But, the combination of chartreuse and turquoise is beautiful.
wow what a fantastic place. drop dead gorgeous!
Wow, on first sight it looks stunning, but I'm not sure how comfortable and relaxing the atmosphere is because of the color??

Daring color? Yep. Too much going on to distract the eye? Yep. But then I had a 2nd and 3rd look on the last image just to grasp the finer detail of the layout. The walls look stunning.

What clutter? Maybe you were referring to Tina Fey's creative chaos. That sunflower bouquet at the center feels like the central Jesus in The Last Supper.

There might be problems with dusting off stuff, though.

2 colors that I love TOGETHER! :)
