home crush {thoughtful design}

I think that there is a lot to be said about over thinking interior design to the point where it can cause a home to look staged and unlivable. I think the details and care that went into this home are thoughtful but not over thought--truly an exquisite example of well used materials, scale, symmetry, and color.

That bottom room is exquisite. I want the ceiling, the steel windows, the slate floor, the lantern. Everything. Love it.

Use Sherwin Williams "Believable Buff" if you like the creamy neutral in pictures. I love the look of these rooms - so relaxing and classy!

I totally agree with you that this looks fabulous. I personally might have lined the drapes though.

I love it! Thank you for that! I wanted to introduce you to a favorite blog of mine http://www.designtrackmind.com/. She also has a website at www.melissagulley.com/. I think you might like it because you both have the same fabulous taste. She loves turquoise, thinks gray sucks, and has a way of organizing a home beautifully. Check her out! She is based in Newton, Massachusetts but has a lot of clients in Weston, Wellesley and Brookline.

Imagine all the cooking that could be done in that large and beautiful kitchen! It would be so fun to have company sitting around the island as the cook shows off his/her skills!

Beautiful home and I am in love with those doors and windows. But I think a little bit more padding on my chairs. :) Have a relaxing weekend.
