color pops {rich plum}
There is something about the color purple that is lately drawing me in. It just such a regal and rich color that I definitely would like more of in my life. It is also a color that is supposed to boost imagination and creativity--which is never a bad thing! And as with most bold colors, a little goes a long way...

I love purple! My husband and I just bought purple stools for our kitchen bar, and they look great! Bright and fun in the day and dark and classy at night.

well ain't that purdy! I've never been a huge purple fan but this is making me reconsider...!
12 years ago my grandma bought me a couch, 2 wingbacks, a plush arm chair, and an occasional chair for $100 at an estate sale. I had the two wingbacks recovered in purple and tufted. The other one I did in lavender velvet. I was so proud of myself. Then I got sick of them. now that I am married they are relegated to my porch where I have a very retro vibe going with my orange couch. It is all faded now and my favorite room once again.
Completely unfair: the girl in the photo looks utterly stunning in that purple dress paired with matching tights. If I wore the same outfit I'd look like a very plump grape...
Purple tulips are divine. Especially when paired with yellow. It screams SPRING IS HERE and I can't get enough of that combination.

blair, this is a fabulous post!!! i am loving this color (and i hardly EVER love purple). i think it looks especially fantastic with orange... but that first room is so so gorgeous.

Oh the purple flowers - jacarandas I believe, we had them where I grew up and it was one of my favourite times of year. Driving through avenues covered with purple blossoms overhead - pure magic.
