barely there

After all that color talk I saw a friends whitewashed bedroom this evening and was reminded once again of the perfect serenity that comes with the absence of color (color vs. none is my constant battle) especially when texture it is added. This dressing room and these pieces are perfect examples..

(dvf wallet, michael kors shirt, pillow from jayson home and garden, antik batik cutout dress, prada flats, and br bracelet)
Hope you all had a good weekend!

you're right. i've been on kind of a serene kick lately. but then again, the color vs. no color battle is a huge one with me.
I'm not a big fan of everything white. But I'm in love of this dressing room. It's the right combination of white and texture. I'd love to add a medium size white chandelier. That would be my ideal dressing room.
I just came across here by accident and lots of inspiration here. So just be your new follower.^^

Ahh, the perennial question, all white versus color. I have to admit that all white is winning with me right now, can't get enough!

p.s: I tagged you for a Best Blog Award, the icon is on my blog, please pass it on
You totally hit the nail on the head Blair, I too battle between colour and all white spaces. I love your point about texture..the increasing interest it creates without the use of colour, AND you perfectly displayed the texture patterns in your fashion pics. Such a great post, one of my favs!
So pretty. I love all of the texture!

That room is absolutely beautiful. It makes me want to do a very white nursery as well. A peaceful retreat. =)

Three cheers for white! This is a gorgeous room! Then again, I'm one of those people obsessed with the crispness of white. I can see how it can be too stark for some, but adding different textures and shades of white gives a room warmth. White is a beautiful backdrop for adding colourful pieces of art or furniture.

Being from Sweden, white is so part of my DNA (and I love it!). Yet I do not have one single white room in my entire house. Analyze that one if you can! That is all about to change. My bedroom will soon be white. (Painter is already hired). Hope I like it as much as I think I will.

Blair, love the curtains in the image with the simple details. And the furniture look amazing with the sun shining through the almost lace ornamentations. Very pretty room. xx Monika
Lovely combo, that bracelet is so pretty!

I just adore white on white, especially the look of whitewash. The addition of natural light just makes it so warm and so pretty.
