event inspiration {scarlet, ocher + slate}

I struggle with this time of year. I am still craving the harvest inspired palettes of Halloween but also longing for the crisp festiveness of the Christmas season. I finally found a color combination that was perfect for this transitional time--scarlet, ocher and slate.

(via rebecca taylor, style me pretty, ink wells, green wedding shoes, unknown, jose villa and 100 layer cake, once wed)
All rich lovely colors that satisfy my love of the autumn palette with a nod to the peppermint infused season upon us. And with that I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

This is such a beautiful pairing of colors. I suffer from the same feelings at this time of year - you have completely made my day by bringing shades of both seasons together, Blair! :)

Love the autumn fell with the infusion of peppermint. Grey works with the red and yellow so well.

I like the peppermint concept! I will be on the lookout for other design ideas, maybe something with simple candy canes? Great color combos.
