Alright, time to get in to work on dinner in my own kitchen but not before I ask--which style to you prefer?
p.s. the one from Living etc is my favorite, as it is the perfect mix!

The first pic. Down-2-Earth and relaxing and easy on the eyes!
Oh I like them all. White, modern, comfortable, with room for a gathering. Love the chalk board. I have an old slate chalk board in my kitchen - perfect.
Why must there be a "versus" at all? Many of these pictures seem to be a great marriage of the two.
You are so right Martha!
the one from marie claire maison looks so comfortable and warm.
The one from Living etc is my favourite too! Love it.
I like them all. The open warm feeling they have is wonderful.
I want a kitchen like that first one - so big and open. wow.
Can I have one of each please?
I like both. That's my problem, lol... always trying to mix the two!
Oh, you found some treasures here!
I thought I would be more into the contemporary spaces but it turns out that I love them ALL! This is such an amazing and inspirational post, darling B!

the only three main requirements for my next house: wood floors, tons of windows, and white cabinets.
so of course i love these!
oooh, they're all fabulous. love the industrial feel of a couple of these.
i love modern..usually do but i'll take either! both are still so warm + welcoming!
I love that every option includes a high ceiling - something that I lust over. There is something so fresh and clean about a white kitchen with grey accents; I like the industrial feel.
Instead of choosing just one I'd like to put the following details together:
- the backsplash in photo 1
- the plate wall in photo 2
- the bar in photo 3
- the wood table in photo 4 (sigh, how I love the wood table in this photo)
- the beams in photo 5
- the open-face cupboards in photo 6
PS: what is hanging from the ceiling in the 4th photo?
I dream of a eat in kitchen.....i just adore them!
