library ladder love

One of the features that I long for most in a home is high ceilings. Which leads me to think that my dream high ceilings must come with a library ladder to utilize the additional vertical space. And they can truly be used beautifully in any room!

Oh, it is so fun to dream!

I totally agree with this - I've alway loved the idea of having one in a kitchen definitely worth knocking through to the room above for!

Me again, having a comment frenzy on your blog - I'm having a lovely time - I even found a room I designed and styled for British House & Garden (in the lattice post - I did the Moroccan room at the end with white lattice panels in the windows!)

Oh how I yearn for a bookshelf tall enough for a ladder. These images make me think of old libraries in movies. Great post!

what pretty pics! I've used a vintage ladder as a dressing for a wedding and it looked really lovely. Ladders rock!

Love it! I used to work in a fabulous retail store that had high shelving to store stock and the ladders for access. A bit embarrassing thinking you are on the bottom step and swinging you leg down to put your foot on the ground to find out you are in fact two rungs up still. Oh yes, and customers were watching....

they come in a lot of different styles as well. you have some up there but you don't have an example of the stainless library ladders that are much more modern looking. so many people don't utilize that space effectively, it's a shame.
