color inspiration {robin egg blue}

I have been on quite the blue interior kick lately but I think that robin egg blue may beat out all the other shades. I am not quite sure why I haven't posted about this lovely color earlier but I was quickly reminded of it today with all the robins were enjoying the rain (and worms!) in my yard. The softest versions of the shade are perfect for a soothing primary color in a space and the bolder versions make for the perfect accent.

And isn't the wallpaper in the first room just lovely!? Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

When people ask me what color I like to decorate with I never think of blue, then I find myself always using it and being drawn to it again and again. I love these images!

i tend not to like this color on walls, but i love it for things like lamps and furniture. i LOVE the lamp in the photo you used. it's a great vintage color, which is why i love it in vintage clothing and housewares.

great round-up of images here, Blair.

i love your color theme posts.
I love the entryway at the end of this post...I am usually not a huge fan of wallpaper but I do love this print. Thanks for sharing such wonderful prints.

This is a great color! It reminds me of that icy blue I have been in love with for over a year, but the brighter tone like this could be great for a bathroom... can't wait to see what new apartment I find this fall.

I am loving the tile in that kitchen! I know what you mean about the Robin's egg blue. There was a nest by my house and one of the robin's eggs fell and cracked and I was so bummed. I think it was worse because it was blue.

So interesting how our taste in colour changes over the decades. I used to take or leave blue. Now I am obsessed. This post is so luscious, I could dive right in to those colours.
