beautiful art display {vincente wolf}

Vincente Wolf's lovely home was just featured in the July/August Veranda and is just gorgeous! I am especially enamored with the interesting way he displays his photos and art...on chairs!

How do you display your art? The chairs are also just wonderful--such a great example of mix and match styles!

aw, I adore this!
I love when people don't hang art, but just put it on a table, or on the floor.. it just gives such a lovely feel - like you are at the artist's studio and he is just putting it down to dry or something :)
Love this art on chairs thing. Very casual.

This is so cool!

I'm a very symmetrical gal, so I have a hard time arranging in any way other than straight and balance. I wanted something a bit more random on my dining room wall... I took pictures of each of the pieces (9 in all) and then photoshopped an arrangement. Then I hung them on the wall. Pretty pitiful (and not very random), but I love how it turned out.

I just love Vicente - and I love this clever, informal way of displaying art (or Vicente's beautiful photography...)

What a unique and fun way to display art! I've never thought to do anything other than just hang the piece on the wall...I'd love to do something like this! :)

i love the chair idea.

i have two of my bigger pieces leaning against the wall—one on some vintage luggage and the other on a bench/coffee table that is up against the wall. my mother-in-law was over recently and asked, "why didn't you hang those on the wall?" i said, "that's so boring. i prefer to lean them up against the wall." :)

but most everything else hangs, especially the smaller things. i'm going to have to try the chair idea. i also love when i see a framed print or photo hanging from a shelf of some built-in shelving. that could also serve as a cover up for shelf clutter. but mostly i just like how it looks.
