the softer side of the loft

When I think about loft spaces, the words light filled, warm and glamorous are not the first that come to mind. However, this loft embodies all of those unexpected qualities---from the large windows, warm wood floors and elegant decor touches. It is also well divided with high backed furniture and well placed screens.

I just adore the long curtains that soften the industrial style windows and the light white ceilings that open the space up even more.

And then there is the fun touch of architectural detail at the tops of the supports--further softening the industrial bones of this loft.

i think i would have so much trouble designing a functional space in a loft...i feel like you'd really need to know your stuff. this is a really well designed space w/obvious different living areas. very nice.

Wow, what a gorgeous loft! I'm not usually a fan of loft spaces-too cold for me-but this one I could live happily in!
Ugh! I would die for one of these fabulous lofts!!

I love lofts! You can be so creative in them! The windows seal the deal for me everytime. I do love how warm this feels without giving up the "loft" feeling too! Lovely.
I love industrial lofts but this softer version (as you perfectly describe it) is fantastic, too! It feel very livable.
