rethinking [bright] pink

I have long loved pink as the shade for the clothes in my closet but have been a little weary about adding to my home, especially the brighter versions. However, I think I am coming around. Especially after seeing the both fun and sophisticated statement that it makes in a space, whether all over or just in little touches.

the last two image are so so beautiful, a pop of bright pink can be so effective to lift up a room :)

I do love pink (along with almost every other color!). But it hasn't been in my life very much lately. Our bedroom is painted a dark taupe color and I change bedspreads frequently to satisfy my need to change decor. I've been contemplating making pillows with lots of pink in a contemporary print as accents for the summer when I change to a white chenille bedspread. Pink is versatile from dramatic to perky.

this is so cute - i love all of the lil punches of pink! i'm going to have to pass this on to my sister. she's redoing her room and i'm trying to convince her to add a lil bit of colour. :)

That blue and pink room has a very Regency look with that color combo. But I think I like that little pink frame photo the most- it just pops!

I love pink - it's so cheerful. I had our tiny powder room painted a hot pink a while back and I love it. That last pic is great.

i'm not a pink person at all but have lately been loving pink accents. whether its a necklace, ring, shoes, napkins, picture frame etc!

I'm really loving the pop of pink (and that gorgeous chandelier) in the second photo. So dramatic!

I'm a fan of it in small doses, as in the last few photos. The wallpaper is too much for me, personally, but I still like looking at it!

You know, Blair, I'm on the same stage that you about pink. Lately I'm loving little touches of bright pink. But haven't added them yet to my home... That third image, that gorgeous dining room would be the perfect example of what I love!

I love the little pops of it that you found. My daughter's room is green and pink, but she's wanting it to be turquoise now. I'm thinking that I'll miss the pink and have to incorporate it somewhere else.

*sighs* I love pink. It's rather apparent if you take a peek at my blog. But, I'm hesitant about adding it to my apartment too. I think I'm going to paint these iron chairs I have this summer a strawberry milkshake pink!

I LOVE the pink...it inspired me to go put on my new pink sweater from J.Crew...I love the small doses in the last few photos...my kind of style - neutral with a little pop!
