color inspiration [inky blues]

I love versatile colors that can work in a wide array of settings. To me deep and rich inky blues fall into that category. They can exude everything from moody elegance to warm glamour. I especially love the drama these blues can add when contrasted with taupe and white.

Would you consider adding this lovely and daring color to your home?

How I would love to do something so daring like that blue, but my home is so open that I do not have a space.

i have no blues anywhere. i don't know why. it is one of my favorite colors for interiors, but i just never quite know how to use it. i would love to incorporate a moroccon blue somehow—like in a very bohemian room. i just need a bigger house. :)

I love this color so much that I tried it 3 years ago in my bedroom but turned out looking Kentucky Wildcat Blue and I had to repaint a deep mocha. Still have my heart set on this color--if I can just get it right!

I would love to have navy walls. Especially in my bedroom. Now, just to convince the boy :)

I adore that blue chair in the top picture. Something about it just pops.
Blue and white usually go well together. These interiors have been excellently designed so the full effect of the contrast comes to fruition. Great pictures.
