creative centerpiece

I love centerpieces. They are so crucial to entertaining--whether a tray of pillar candles or a bowl of baubles--it sets the tone for a gathering. For instance if you saw these fantastical centerpieces full of goldfish you would know you were in for a less than conventional evening.

Do you have a go to centerpiece?

Goldfish? I love it! I have an extensive collection of vases that I usually fill with random objects when we have people over for dinner. I've used baubles, lemons [which still makes me laugh as I think of 'the break up'], apples, moss, an obviously flowers.

I am waiting for the opportunity to use coffee beans or eggplants as well as putting together a string of orchids in a tall vase of water. It's such a stunning look but I'm still not 100% sure how to master it.

What's your go to, Blair?

What a clever idea! I would love if I went to a party and that was the centerpiece. It would tell me that everything was going to be light and fun.

Today I was in Target and looking for something new for my table and I thought, "what about a bowl with a fish?" Do you think this is a sign?

What would you do with the goldfish afterward?

I guess you would need to have a very large fish tank to house then afterwards!
Oh I love this! You would have a lot of left over goldfish though.
