a true eat in kitchen

Very much wishing that this was the kitchen I was going home to and have that glass of wine just waiting to be enjoyed. Not sure it is exactly the most functional space (do you use the dining table as a counter?) but it is just so charming. I love the contrast of the light walls with the dark counters and table.

What are you thoughts on the fashion and function of this kitchen? Windsor Smith has a similar kitchen layout, which you can see here.

I do like the light and dark contrast. The sunlight coming in through the large windows really brightens the whole room up, I love that they're left uncovered. I don't think I could ever do much in a kitchen designed like that though. I'm very animated in the kitchen and I would probably trip over those chairs. Lovely photo to look at nevertheless!

oh I love! love the farm table! totally functionable. Our kitchen is wild. One day I will have to post a photo of it. We live in our kitchen as do our guest. Funny how we entertain and eat at the kitchen island over the dining room table- more casual, more relaxed, more fun...what is it about dining room tables. LOVING this kitchen post!

This is so beautiful in its simplicity, and I love the dark and light contrast. Perhaps there is more counter that you just don't see...

I like the rustic look of this kitchen but I'd prefer it for a weekend cabin/cottage instead of my every day house kitchen. Obviously I don't have a weekender but a girl can dream. ;)

I just adore a big farmhouse table like that, and the pendant lights are a perfect touch. Gorgeous!
