modern cottage

This cottage was featured in a special makeover edition of Cottage Living and I quickly feel in love with it. The cottage was built in 1880 and when it came on the market for sale it was so run down that only the land was advertised! However, residential designer Justin Ferrick saw its potential and rehabilitated this demolition bound structure. He successfully maintained the cottage charm while infusing it with modern design elements and very cool vintage touches (I count 7 different vintage fans!) I just love the contrast of the beautifully worn floors and vaulted ceilings with the sleek furniture and cheeky accessories.

Callie - The cool thing about the kitchen is that those cabinets are made from industrial tool drawers!

Anne, I am right there with you on the floor and wanting to move in!
