perfect pairing {warm+cold}

I love when both warm and cool colors are used to accent a space, such as the various shades of pinks and blue subtly scattered throughout this lovely home. I also am so intrigued how well this home flawlessly blends eclectic style with a refined sensibility.

Do you have a favorite warm and cool color combination?

afternoon pick me up {lovely interiors}

It is that time of day when my eyes are having a very hard time stay fixed on the computer--so these lovely images were literally a sight for sore eyes. Definitely the little pick me up I needed to get through the last hour of the work day.

Isn't this the most lovely and well styled closet? I just love the graphic rug, the uncluttered shelves and the perfectly sized chandelier.

Really loving the pale yellow and pink pops in this living area and architectural detail over the beautiful white fireplace.

And this kitchen, it is just well straight out dreamy and love the ladder for all those hard to reach shelves--definitely much more civilized than standing on the counter.

citrus never looked so good!

Perhaps it is because I am under the weather but citrus has never looked better to me than in these stunning photos from the website of clothing company, 88 Orange. They just exude such warmth and whimsy. And the styling in the product photos is just amazing.

They definitley made me smile and want to buy their orange blossom fragrance so I can escape to these orange groves anytime I please. Ok, be back in a bit!

clean+crisp

There is really nothing quite like bright, crisp and clean lined interiors. They are truly a breath of fresh air--which is exactly how I felt when I came across this lovely kitchen and dining area.

What types of spaces are your breath of fresh air?

snow bound..

Good morning! I am taking the day off from the blog world in order to enjoy the last weekend of the ski season and the 30" inches of snow we have received in the past few days. But I will leave you with a small collection of photos I stored away over the week for future inspiration...

lizzie + matt [by max wagner]

Two of my childhood friends, lizzie and matt, got engaged this past winter (actually, here in Jackson!) They both live in Chicago but flew out to California to have their engagement photos taken by Max Wagner. I mean, wouldn't you? And they are absolutely amazing! Lizzie also happens to be the incredibly stylish and talented author of DESIGNwatcher. Just a small sampling of their photos...

Aren't they a cute couple? I think this last one is my favorite! You can find more incredible photos from the shoot on her blog and on Max Wagner's. Believe me, you won't regret it!

bogged down...

Good morning and happy first day of spring! Completely bogged down with work this morning and very much wishing that my desk looked like any of these (versus stacked way too high with papers) right now.

How are you celebrating the first day of spring? Some ice cream or maybe a margarita?

photographer spotlight {eric piasecki}

Ok, some of you may have noticed that I have now used pictures from Eric Piasecki's portfolio twice this week (and it is only Tuesday!) So I thought I should come out and say it--I have a new photographer crush! There is just a cool calmness that he captures in each one of the spaces that I find refreshing. I am especially fond of the lovely office spaces and would gladly take any of them for my own!

simple sunday {photographer victoria pearson}

It is my feeling that Sundays are the day of the week to enjoy the simple things--from a leisurely walk with the dogs, a slow cooked meal, lingering lunch with friends to a lazy morning coffee. While I was working on a project for a friend (more on that later) I came across the photos of victoria pearson. Her work shows perfectly the the beauty of simplicity.

Wishing you a very leisurely Sunday spent enjoying the simple things.

time for a little trip?

(via petrina tinslay)
I beginning to feel a little antsy to get out of Jackson and craving some travel and adventure. However, since my bank account does not think this is a good idea I thought it was time to take my blog on another trip. So far these "trips" have taken me to both England and France but I can't decide when I would like to go next.

Maybe the beautiful and sunny beaches of Brazil?

Or a romantic countryside?

A charming old city of brick and stone paved streets?

Somewhere both exotic and luxurious?

But then again, the coast of southern Italy doesn't sounds like a bad idea either. So many options. And all of these beautiful photos from Julien Capmeil make the choice even harder! Where would you like to go? I would love your suggestions!

photographer spotlight {anitta behrendt}

Very grey and damp morning here in Jackson Hole. However the stunning color and warm light of the spaces in photographer Annitta Behredt's portfolio are the perfect Monday morning pick me up.
