a {detail} orientation

You often hear designers say that "it is all in the details" when creating an  aesthetically pleasing space. It is so much more than the color palette or fabric selections. It is the little thoughtful elements that make a lovely space complete and transform good to great, such as an oversize light fixture...
Fretwork detail on a floor to ceiling window...

A modern faucet and mirror back splash in a traditional kitchen...

A geometric etagere as lovely towel storage...
Investing in an antique floor length gilt mirror in a dressing room ...

Wow, such gorgeous images. And I'm also a big fan of a big ole' sparkly light fixture!

That first house is so beautiful. I like the rustic, "lived-in" feeling but it's still super modern and chic. Like this last room, I've always wanted a giant mirror leaning against my wall. Such a cool gold trim.
