{contemporary country} soak

All of the hustle and bustle of the holidays can be both physically and mentally exhausting--from the cookie making, strategic ornament placement, parties and playing santa's little helper. I know that I am in need of a little moment of relaxation and this luminous bathroom set in the italian countryside would be just the place.

I love the contrasting styles of the phillipe starck basin and the 19th century French chandelier. Happy Monday---off to complete more holiday tasks!

Do I ever love this. The rough walls, unstained wood floors, unusual crystal chandelier, soaker tub...

oh that bathroom is just gorgeous! love the mix of styles!
Relaxation (or a getaway) must be on the brain today. Here, Braeburn's post on baths, I did one... The wall is what gets me with this one. I wonder if it's real plaster? Made to look like plaster? Stone? truly shiny or just somewhat glossy? I LOVE it!

Lovely. I have become a {huge} fan of chandeliers over tubs... especially fantastic tubs like this one.

Happy Monday, Blair.
I have a long standing dream to have a chandelier over my bathtub. Next house!
