home crush {entertaining ready}

I find that when it comes to holiday entertaining that a great space that makes guests feel at home and makes cooking up a storm for a party of 12 painless is essential. And this is my perfect dream house for just that. From the second the guests open the door they feel like they are in for a special treat from the whimsical architectural detail and understated glamorous accents.

And then can comfortably enjoy the perfectly made cocktail in an elegant sitting area that's neutral palette is the perfect backdrop for holiday decor.

And just in case dinner is running late, can convene in a kitchen that no host would be embarrassed by.

Then of course a fantastic dining room that reinforces the festiveness of the holiday and inspires fantastic conversation.

All ending with a glass of port (I just loving ending a night with one) and blazing fire.

Yes, I definitely need this home, and not just for its entertaining value bit for its overall aesthetic. Not sure I could walk through the front door of this home and not smile!

Yes, and I could run up and down those stairs all night long too, they are so pretty.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE our 1880s hunting lodge but that entry! that table! that lantern! covet covet covet.

I am also thrilled to have stumbled upon your blog.

Be back soon! Off to make some butternut squash risotto, would love to be serving it up in that home to 12 or so of my best friends.
What great space. Glorious but also calming. Wonderful!
