I have never had fresh lavender (although it is one of my favorite scents!) and just planted some in my new pot of herbs. Needless to say the smell is absolutely divine and is instantly soothing. I am thinking that having a little dose of the color of this herb's lovely flower in my home may evoke the same serenity and calm.

i'm still stuck in a mustard-yellow phase, although i LOVE these pics!
I don't know if the Hubster would ever let me do lavender, unless I had some sort of underground Blogstress lair!

My faves are pink & purple - wasn't into them when I was younger...but now I can't get enough!
Red has always been my fave, but I'm loving apple green and bright blues a lot lately. Even yellow and orange are making the cut, especially in clothes right now.

Oh my gosh! You and I are totally on the same page today - I had also posted on lavender! Must be a sign - perhaps we should go off to Provence! Lavender is one of my very favourite shades, I find it to be so calming and soothing!

Lavender is such as soothing colour. It certainly looks gorgeous in all these photos and adds a sense of excitement. I particularly like the white dining room with just the lavender curtains - very chic.

this is such a fantastic color! i read somewhere that lilac has a worrying effect on people (maybe they meant darc lilac..), but i just think this is calming and so beautiful. mix it together with mustard yellow and tree materials, oak works great! my favourite color at the moment is midnight blue. have a happy day!

Love this lavender round up! I painted my room lavender in middle school, but somehow it didn't look quite as stylish as these spaces!
My fave color right now is a taupe-y, mauve-y, grey-y color that I don't have a name for. But I know it when I see it!
My living room is painted 'Plum Purple'...a cerebral setting to surround the television. I have since found that all the books and games and computers and friends with all their toys in tow, have joined in our special public space.
