spring brunch [with a twist]

I love brunch no matter what the season-it is always my favorite means of entertaining! Better yet, the casual nature of brunch makes them a more budget friendly alternative than the traditional dinner party. I think for this spring that citrus is the perfect hue and flavor to add to this midday affair.

(setting via victoria pearson, crepes via hallie burton, floral arrangement via martha stewart, lemon iced bunt cake via penny wincer, pom pom invitation via snow and graham, newspaper placesetting via martha stewart, citrus centerpiece from ariella chezar (via snippet & ink) and orange juice containers via unknown)

What is your entertaining style? Are you a brunch girl too?

Oh, and if you like me still need some entertaining ware for the summer then I highly recommend that you take advantage of the current free shipping offer from the lovely delight by design sponsor, farmhouse wares. I think that I will be buying these beautiful ruffle candlesticks...

...and their lovely scalloped edge cake plate.

Lovely post! I love brunch-I really believe I could live solely off scones, crepes with nutella, hot coffee and blueberry pancakes for the rest of my life :)

love the color palette as well!
Great post. I love brunch.

And I really might have to order myself that scalloped edge cake plate. Reminds me of the one I had in my post today. I am a big fan of white dishes!

Oh yes, I love brunch too! In fact I'm having brunch with all my family on Sunday. Luckily we still have great weather here so we will be enjoying it outside in the sunshine.

this is great. Love the color and all the inspiration.
I totally agree with you as well. Brunch is my favorite type of entertaining. I love breakfast so that's always nice to have and with the other additions to Brunch I'm heaven. Plus it makes for a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I love brunch! But honestly I prefer to go out, there's so many cute brunch places around where I live and the best lemon pancakes to die for in Laguna Beach. But I will have brunches more often if and when I finish the handmade tablecloth I'm working on :)

Hoping you have a wonderful brunch this weekend!

I think brunch is so much less stressful than a dinner party, but can be just as fabulous. I love this citrus scheme you've pulled together.

Have a wonderful Easter!
I love the place setting with the crossword puzzle - so clever! Now that I've seen this post yes, I do believe I may be a brunch girl. :)

I always loved when my mom hosted brunches when I was growing up, but I've yet to host my own. This board is beautiful and reminds me that, while I love eating brunch out, perhaps I need to host one at home before too long! I hope you have a very Happy Easter Blair! xo

not only do i looove brunch, but i love the colours that you've featured here. loooove.

at christmas time, we always do a lil drop-in brunch thing where people can come by before they hit up the mall for christmas shopping (anytime between 9am-2pm), and just use it as a time where we can catch up with people that we haven't seen throughout the year (or those we haven't seen for a few years!) and spend some fueling-up time with them before they get their holiday stuff done.

we've done it for the past four or five years now and it's been really successful because weekends get booked up so quickly otherwise for dinner parties - brunchtime is always available!

I'm a huge fan of brunch. As all of my cousins have grown up and there are a million schedules to keep track of, my gradnma decided to have birthday brunches in lieu of birthday dinners. It's such a great way of catching up on a Saturday or Sunday morning before the day's commitments! [& who doesn't love birthday cake before noon]!?

I love this colour palette: so refreshing.

Happy Easter, Blair! Enjoy your long weekend.
