seeing in black + white
Sometimes seeing things in black and white isn't always the best practice. However, in interior design the the stark contrast of black and white is definitely always a great bet! I think that it allows the patterns in a room to really stand out and help a clean and classic look to be achieved.

However, I think I do prefer a room that is predominantly white with black touches versus the other way around. What about you?

I have just done my bedroom in black and white and these are great inspiration for me to finish it off with a bit more graphic punch in some of the finer details ... fabulous!
Loving your blog Blair xx
Love that first rug, too!
such a clean classic look—i love this. so different than anything i have in my home.
And I do agree that a predominantly white space with black accents is a bit more welcoming than the inverse...
Fabulous post, B!

(now, onto the next question - is a zebra black on white or white on black?)
;)
The rooms with the white walls look especially classy to me.
I definitely prefer a white room with black accessories!
Gorgeous.
The last pic looks more brown to me, but anyway, it would be to much 'action' in the bedroom...(hmmm)

That floor rug is fantastic and I adore the wall hanging over the mantle
I love all white with black details, but the all black with white is so glamourous. I could see a power room or a lounge like that, or even a swanky coffee shop "Black & White.
