feeling cagey

..birdcages that it! I just keep seeing them everywhere and think they add such a nice air of whimsy and magic to a home or party. Whether used to display candles or to take up empty floor space I am a very big fan.

It is strange for me to think that bird cages are beautiful...but they really are. I love them all. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Heidi-not weird at all!

Paula, I agree-I prefer watching the birds outdoors as well.

Heidi, it is definitely not strange for you to think birdcages are beautiful. They can add something special to any room.

My mom is a big fan and we have numerous scattered throughout our backyard. My bestfriend has an empty vintage white birdcage on a shelf! They are gorgeous.

Check out this link from Southern Weddings: http://www.swsmag.net/blog/2009/2/23/details-christa-travis-part-ii.html
It holds cards that guests have brought, (a decor option that my bride has requested).

Love them, thanks for the post Blair.

I love birdcages - they are so wonderful - even empty!
birdcages are so beautiful, especially the antique ones (slightly old ones would do), the last image is just so beautiful!

Great images, Blair. I love the first photo with the candles: so dramatic. The last photo with the white on white is gorgeous, too.

Thanks for the link love.
I love the all white room with the birdcages. So elegant.

I LOVE birdcages!!! Especially pastel or white ones... SO decorative.....
I just got one cleaned and set up for a couple of new birds I am getting. So I am going to in fact use it for the purpose it was intended for.:) I have a neat collection of birdcages that I bought in Germany. Your post is inspiring and beautiful.
