ravishing in ribbons

I am absolutely loving ribbon embellished apparel at the moment--from ribbon sashes and applique dresses to ribbon woven through a necklace chain. It is also very versatile embellishment, as it can add glamour to a look

(oscar de la renta dress, lanvin clutch, kate spade flats and marni necklace)
...or come across clean and classic.

(charles anaste dress, in god we trust cuff, tory burch clutch and gap flats)
Either way, I just love ribbon details. Wishing everyone lovely weekend!

not your typical trellis

I have long loved Kelly Wreastler's imperial trellis wallpaper and still do but it was also quite nice to see a twist on the trellis inspired wallpaper, especially in a bathroom!

Could you handle such a bold geometric pattern in your bathroom?

room to wardrobe {house beautiful}

I absolutley loved the July issue of House Beautiful--truly the most stunning yet! I loved two of the rooms so much that I would very much like the color schemes and details in them to grace my closet. I would love to add the touches of fuscia, blue and gold in this front hall to my wardrobe.

(kenneth jay lane bracelet, christian louboutin pumps, 3.1 phillip lim top, marc jacobs clutch, stella mccartney necklace)
And a girl can never have too many neutral pieces in her closet. By the way, how stunning are the floors in this space!?! Since I cannot have them in my condo a similar style wood and ivory bangle will just have to do.

(wood and ivory bangle from banana republic, ring from anthropologie, shopper from Barneys New York, top from Anna Sui, Ray-Ban classic aviators)
Do you have a favorite space that you would like to somehow transfer to your wardrobe?

{event inspiration} french garden chic

I am currently loving delicate french inspired details for garden weddings, especially lavender and grape hyacinth floral details intertwined with a periwinkle and pale yellow palette.

(save the date via snippet&ink, boutonnieres via jose villa, via pieter estersohn, cakes and menu via martha stewart, centerpiece via ariella chezar, via amelia lyon, bouquets via amorology, via style me pretty)
What is your favorite garden wedding or event detail? Also, I have so loved putting these inspiration boards together lately that I have decided to start offering event design consulting services in my free time-quite excited!

finally giving in {open kitchen shelving}

I have to admit that I am not the most organized person and for that reason I have long resisted the trend of open shelving in kitchens but lately I have seen too many lovely examples of it to hold off any longer.

Do you think you can be tidy enough to have open kitchen shelving? Be back in a bit with a french inspired garden wedding inspiration board.

cheap(er) chic: shocking pink

Shocking pink was my favorite color as a young girl but I definitely grew out of it for a while and it is now back at the top of my list! Funny how things can change. Some of my favorite cheap(er) chic shocking pink picks...

prada flats ($169), banana republic earrings ($49), kate spade cosmetic pouch ($55), donna karan dress (50% off), anthropologie switch plate ($24), jennifer oullette headband ($49), anthropologie tumbler ($6 each), tory burch thong sandal ($115)
Do you have a color that you have changed your opinion on?

Jackson Hole Flower Co.

Thank you for all your Birthday wishes! I had a wonderful Birthday--I took the day off from work and went on my favorite hike up in the park, tried to soak up the few minutes of sun and discovered the most lovely new shop here in Jackson. They have some stunning single stems...

...amazing succulent (my weakness!) arrangements...

And some lovely home and garden accessories. And this is the lovely arrangement of various sedum plants that I came home with:

If you live in Jackson I highly recommend that you take a peak!

color inspiration {melon}

I got an early birthday present over the weekend (my birthday is today) and it was some beautiful melon colored j.crew pants. I am completely head over heels about their color and can't believe I have not done an interior post on it earlier. So, here it is!

simply sunday tables

I love Sunday dinner parties-they just have such a lovely casual and relaxed feel and I feel as though the tablescape should reflect that. These are some of my favorite elegant but casual tabletops, all perfect for a Sunday dinner with friends.

Hope you are all having a lovely sunday!

sustainable saturday {maria la rosa}

I am absolutely crazy about the beautiful accessories made by Italy based, Maria La Rosa. All of the textiles are made on antique looms from specially selected natural fibers such as cotton, rafia, linen, silk, chenille, cashmere and alpaca.
I wish I had a pair of the slippers to slip on on this chilly Wyoming morning.
