color inspiration {robin egg blue}

I have been on quite the blue interior kick lately but I think that robin egg blue may beat out all the other shades. I am not quite sure why I haven't posted about this lovely color earlier but I was quickly reminded of it today with all the robins were enjoying the rain (and worms!) in my yard. The softest versions of the shade are perfect for a soothing primary color in a space and the bolder versions make for the perfect accent.

sustainable saturday {eco etsy find}

I am a sucker for anything with embellishments and the eco friendly products from Zelaya's etsy shop are no exception. Their lovely feminine handbags and clothes are handmade out of only biodegradable and renewable materials. Zelya seeks to "embody the innate intelligence and beauty of nature, tradition and simplicity."

Hope you are all having a lovely Saturday!

class is in session

I am currently having a phase where I just love vintage school style chairs used in interiors, whether they really are old classroom chairs or the classic eames molded plywood chairs. They just add such a wonderful casual, retro and slightly nostalgic feel to a space.

event inspiration {rustic elegance}

Rustic weddings are quite common here in Jackson Hole, as so many couples want to embrace the wild beauty and laid back lifestyle of the area. I think finding the right balance of rustic charm and sophisticated elements can be quite tricky so I decided to put together a board for what I believe is the elusive rustic elegance. They key is use natural colors as well as organic materials.

downright dreamy dining room

I have had rustic elegance on my mind, as I have been working on a event inspiration board that embraces this style (check back tomorrow morning!) and this dining room would be the perfect way to translate the look into your home. I am just crazy about the mix of the modern chairs with the casual bench and stunning floors--not to mention the perfect table setting and amazing natural light.

Downright dreamy in my book! Do you have a favorite quality in a dining room?

wednesday window seats

It is yet another dreary day here and all I want to do to do is curl up in cozy window seat watch the rain and catch up on some reading. Any of these nooks would be quite the lovely spot to do just that!

cheap(er) chic: staple white dress

I found it, the perfect summer staple-this cotton white dress (currently on sale for $189) from Karl Langerfeld. It is the perfect blank palette for almost every summer occasion when paired with the right accessories. Add a hint of gold to create a luxe look for evening:

prada bow ballet flats (40% off), grass earrings from anthropologie ($128), metallic leather clutch from j.crew ($98)
Some pops of bold colors and some beaded earrings for a Sunday brunch...

beaded earrings from anthropologie ($88), foldover marc jacobs clutch (50 off%), mystique sandals ($140)
A feminine cardigan and structured bag for your time in the office.
kate spade tote($198), Milly cardigan (40%) off, sam edelman flats ($99)
Do you have a special summer staple or go to clothing item in your closet?

{color inspiration} adding a little drama

Ok, from little black dresses to black interiors. Black is one color that I have really warmed up to lately for use in interiors. I think it creates such a luxurious and moody vibe to any space it is added to. I especially love the way it looks against warm hued wood floors.

Do you have a room in your house that you would consider black for?

not your average LBD

I was finally wrapping up switching out my winter wardrobe with my summer one and realized that I only have wintry little black dresses. And of course I am now thinking that I need one for the summer months too! So if price was of no object I think these would be the ones I would add to my closet:

Love that either from embellishments, materials or textures that these dresses are anything but the typical LBD. I think when it came down to it the Marni dress would be the one coming home with me. What are your little black dress requirements?

designer crush {Leibowitz amd McLachlan}

I have a feeling that it is going to be a very busy Monday so I thought the serene interiors of the new Australian design duo Taryn Leibowitz and Tamie McLachlan would be the perfect way to start the day. They describe their style as "Trend driven, relaxed and fresh...a contemporary mix of antiques, aged and distressed paint finishes mixed with natural materials."

Overall the interiors are just incredibly fresh and inviting, which is always a winning combination in my book. Hope you all have a wonderful Monday.
