a few more quatrefoils sightings...

Sorry for the light posting today. It is a pretty hectic day at work. However, I did find time to somehow run across two rooms featuring the quatrefoil screen from yesterdays post that made me like it even more.

feathered feet

Ok, so much for blogging within my means today but these shoes were too beautiful to ignore:

Color Fix

I don't think there was quite enough color in my posts today so before I decide to stop procrastinating and go to the gym I thought I would post this mustard creation from Oscar de la Renta that I am lusting after! I really need to start blogging and lusting within my means! Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

fanciful quatrefoils

Ever since this shape was featured in the November issue of Domino I have been seeing it everywhere, from jewelry to interior accents. These are just a few of the pieces I have come across in the past two weeks that feature the fanciful pattern.

chair from Hickory Chair company by Suzanne Kasler)

What is your favorite shape or pattern in interior design? For the longest time I couldn't get enough of the Greek key pattern but I think quatrefoils may just take it's place!

crisp white

Beautiful crisp white interiors to match today's lovely crisp Wyoming air. So serene!

j.crew for luggage?!

The only handbags I have ever purchased from J.Crew are madras beach totes. I was just looking for some new sweaters online and felt inclined to click on the handbags link and seriously thought I was transported to another store! Maybe I am really out of the loop ( living in Wyoming can do that to you!) but I was stunned at the selection of not only clutches and purses but the gorgeous classic leather luggage. These suitcases make me want to try to get over my fear of flying so I can rationalize the purchase of one!

paper source letterpress

I was buying more paper for my holiday card project and saw yet ANOTHER 2009 calendar that I am quite fond of. It is letterpress and from Paper-Source. I really like the way that it captures the spirit of each month in images, some obvious and some not as much. I especially like the umbrellas for April showers!

There is just something about pictures of interiors that feature the owner's dogs that appeals to me. It just makes the homes feel authentic and as though they are actually lived in. I especially love the Golden Retriever in the bedroom--makes the already warm room so much cozier. Plus it just make me smile to see all these lucky canines living in such pretty homes!

What do you think? Does is make these rooms come to life or does it take away from the style of the room?

I just dug up all my winter wear from storage but couldn't find the box containing all my scarves. However, I am not sure I really want to find them with cashmere scarves like this out there (from London based clothing company, Crumpet):

I posted about my new found love for grey walls earlier this week and I just had to add this room to the reasons why. This is the kitchen of Marco Scarni and Jamie Creel, as featured in the December Elle Decor.

The slate gray walls go beautifully with the ocher hued botanical prints and planters. The white floors add a beautiful contrast to the dark walls. Also, how cool is that antique backgammon table?
