Thank You!

I had some very exciting news today! One of my favorite blogs, Desire to Inspire, included me in their reading guide this morning. It is so flattering to be included and was so much fun to explore all of the other blogs they mentioned. Thank you Jo & Kim for the mention and for expanding my reading list!

First Impressions

The entryway of a home really tells a lot about a person and their style. When you walk in my front door it is instantly clear that my dogs take priority to stylish furnishings. So until they learn to stop shedding and tracking mud into the house I will daydream about having one of these beautiful entryways, each with their own unique personality:

Stick it to Me

I am sitting here reading through a 200 page document that I need to "become comfortable" with by Monday and all I want to do is stick 90% of it with the question mark version of these sticky notes:

Organization Inspiration

Friday is typically the day at work that I tidy up my desk and organize all the files that have stacked up on my desk over the week. I just love the feeling of coming in on Monday to a welcoming and organized space. There is something about organized spaces that just creates an instant calm. A few of my favorite organization inspirations:

I love having a "go to" holiday party dress picked out by this time of year and this Rebecca Taylor mini dress is definitely a contender!

One of my favorite days of the year is coming up soon, Thanksgiving. I am already craving the smell of the stuffing be made and the parade (and football) on TV. One of the things that I do not like about the holiday is that so many of the ingredients, namely the spices need to be purchased every year (the pumpkin pie spices always seem to dissapear). So I was quite elated when I came across this organic holiday spice kit from farmhouse wares. It includes 6 sets of spices each containing 12 organic spices and suggested recipes. It covers everything from game day chili, to the turkey (and the stuffing), the pie and even the spices for mulled cider!

Life feels very complicated lately, which makes this simple and well balanced room even more appealing. I love the idea of using tailored white slip covers (for those people without black dogs or tendencies to spill red wine!) to bring all the furniture together. Such uniformity can be at times be boring but in this case it really highlights the unique industrial feel of the room from the concrete ceilings and large metal windows. With other furnishings and even with other colors this rooms could easily come off as severe and unwelcoming.

There are not a lot of brands that I would consider more American than Ralph Lauren and these new wrap bracelets are no exception. The perfect accessory for an Election Day party! Now, the big question is are you going Red or Blue?

Stylish Sticker

There is nothing more stylish to wear today than one of these stickers:

Hope you all go out and vote today. Happy election day!

Eco Bones

My two dogs tear through squeaky toys in about an hour so I had stopped buying them. However, on Friday I saw these eco bones and I just had to take them home--they were super soft, looked really durable, and of course I thought they were cute! I took a gamble and the eco bones have now lasted three days- truly historic for my dogs. Even cooler than their durability is that they are made out of recycled pop bottles! The company that makes them,West Paw Designs, is based in Bozeman, Montana and offers tons of eco chic dog beds and dog toys.
