pale yellow + dusty blue

I never really loved the pairing of bright yellow and cobalt--too french for my taste but when each color is toned down a few notches it turns into my favorite pairing of colors for the spring--dusty blue and pale yellow [with a dash of taupe!]

Also, love the wallpapered alcove this bed sits in!

i agree, this is a lovely color combo. i've always had problems w/taupe but i like it here as it seems to bridge the two colors nicely. i also like the placement of the books at the end of the bed (i'm always looking for spots for my gazillion books!)

Oh, this is just fantastic...I really love this scheme. Last summer I did a quilt in these colors for my cousin's wedding; you said French, but my quilt felt Italian.
I love your blog! Beautiful stuff, my Jackson Hole friend. I have visited, but I'd like to come back...can't pull myself away from the San Diego beaches, though.

I like it, too. I seem to have adopted a new found love for yellow. I keep gravitating towards it.

This combo is soft enough that it's not too "Ikea" or "French." [I adore that lamp shade].

Great combination! I totally agree, I am not crazy over bold yellow and cobalt but this is totally up my alley. This mustard color keeps popping up, just like the house tour in Lincoln Park which every one seems to love:http://makeundermylife.blogspot.com/2009/03/weekly-post-its-my-favorite-house-tour.html

I'm thinking I might need to incorporate it in a new jewelry collection or in my apartment somehow...
